A collision led to Fumina getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Ozzie Ross hit a great ball. In the 11th match minute, Fumina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Quade Tebby to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ozzie Ross in the 12th minute of play forced Murmungee's goalkeeper Brynn Dowsing to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ozzie Ross came free with the goalkeeper in the 14th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Brynn Dowsing could save by the left post. Ozzie Ross struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Brynn Dowsing didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fumina. Alexander Allan's late challenge caught a Murmungee's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alexander Allan helped the player get up and apologised. After 28 played minutes Fumina got a freekick which was hit by Alexander Allan. 37 minutes into the game, Murmungee's Bryanne Sinden nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jamie Norden made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The audience was convinced that Bryanne Sinden's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jamie Norden was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. Martin Nelson kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Randle Wright hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Earl Waller was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute, Earl Waller made a precise shot to the right of Brynn Dowsing. Murmungee's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. When Alexander Allan was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 61 minutes had been played. The supporters of Murmungee booed when Fumina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexander Allan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jaffery Merz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jamie Norden having to interfere. Jamie Norden came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Murmungee's Bryanne Sinden. But to his dismay, Bryanne Sinden quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Bryanne Sinden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Jamie Norden tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. James Obrien received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Brynn Dowsing was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, Fumina's Jamie Norden got control of the ball when Bryanne Sinden tried to sneak it across the goal line.
