Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Lauder Hogan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronald Sedgman having to interfere. Lauder Hogan struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Ronald Sedgman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cullenswood. If Lauder Hogan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 10 played minutes York got a freekick which was hit by Baxter Cordrey. In the 13th match minute, York was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernest Renney to maneuver through the defense. Cullenswood's Zack Schoenke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernest Renney in the 17th minute of play. Mark Ludwick fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronald Sedgman having to interfere. Lauder Hogan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 31st minute Lauder Hogan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronald Sedgman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ronald Sedgman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mark Ludwick went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. York's Corder Mogork was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 36th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. If Mark Ludwick had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Lauder Hogan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cullenswood's supporters rose to their feet, but Lauder Hogan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ronald Sedgman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of York booed when Cullenswood was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lauder Hogan didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Lauder Hogan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ronald Sedgman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lauder Hogan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. After 65 minutes, Daniel Clack mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the York and the Cullenswood players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cullenswood's Lauder Hogan got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ernest Renney in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zack Schoenke prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 80th minute of the match Artie Sperling shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ronald Sedgman showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 83rd minute, Baxter Cordrey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zack Schoenke showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernest Renney, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. After a rather tough play, Cullenswood's Brant Boneheyo got a free kick in the 88th minute. In the 89th minute Ernest Renney shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zack Schoenke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Corder Mogork came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the York fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Corder Mogork couldn't finish the play. Cullenswood's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
