Brian Bostock hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Brant Andrews managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fairylands's supporters rose to their feet, but Brant Andrews was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jamie Norden breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jamie Norden made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Brant Andrews sent off a good shot on target. Brant Andrews could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Jamie Norden made a huge save. After 30th play minutes Rolando Angell shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Jamie Norden and just under the crossbar into goal. After having played for 40 minutes, Ozzie Ross managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fumina's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ozzie Ross was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Earl Waller to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brant Andrews in the 52nd minute of play forced Fumina's goalkeeper Jamie Norden to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brant Andrews fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jamie Norden having to interfere. Fairylands's Ike Shortus proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Fairylands from getting a goal against them. 93 minutes into the match, Rolando Angell had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jamie Norden. Fumina's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rolando Angell was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. Jamie Norden took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rolando Angell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fairylands's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
