Spectators: 5050 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 50) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Andrews Deeth started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Next Gen Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Douglas Missen came free, but Downing Lawson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Next Gen Academy's Downing Lawson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmund Freel in the 4th minute of play. The Kwolyin fans' excitement grew in the 5th match minute when Kwolyin's Douglas Missen looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The audience thought a goal was coming when Porter Crane got free with Russ Atterton in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Isaac Nurthen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Downing Lawson having to interfere. Downing Lawson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martyon Digiuseppe in the 16th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Martyon Digiuseppe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Downing Lawson was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. In the 23rdth minute of the game Martyon Digiuseppe who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Next Gen Academy's Downing Lawson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kwolyin's Isaac Nurthen got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Kwolyin's Martyon Digiuseppe in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isaac Nurthen in the 43rd minute of play forced Next Gen Academy's goalkeeper Downing Lawson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Next Gen Academy's zone, Isaac Nurthen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Downing Lawson came out of the goal and Isaac Nurthen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Martyon Digiuseppe in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Downing Lawson saved Next Gen Academy from getting behind. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Martyon Digiuseppe to make the kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 54 minutes, Downing Lawson successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Andrews Deeth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Russ Atterton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Kwolyin's Edmund Freel slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Downing Lawson. That made the score 0-2 after 65 minutes of play. Downing Lawson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martyon Digiuseppe in the 70th minute of play. Martyon Digiuseppe had several of the Next Gen Academy's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 73 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-3 score and a disappointed Downing Lawson as he didn't even see the shot coming. The audience thought a goal was coming when Isaac Nurthen got free with Downing Lawson in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 78th minute Martyon Digiuseppe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Downing Lawson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 92nd minute, Porter Crane ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Russ Atterton was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Myles Maddern managed to get in a good position for a shot. Next Gen Academy's supporters rose to their feet, but Myles Maddern was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Russ Atterton breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match was over Kwolyin could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Next Gen Academy throughout the match.
