Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000,
Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Wickliffe's Phillip Hines started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Barry Pearson scored 0-1 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Brannan Stebbing, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cliff Wege sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Phillip Hines received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Kyle Lingwoodock tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 21st minute, Phillip Hines made a precise shot to the right of Kyle Lingwoodock. Eulo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. 25 minutes into the match, Cliff Wege notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Eulo's Kyle Lingwoodock. Kyle Lingwoodock was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 35 minutes into the match, Brooker Wege notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Wickliffe's Brannan Stebbing. Brannan Stebbing was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Kyle Lingwoodock made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Cliff Wege sent off a good shot on target. 46 minutes into the match, Cliff Wege had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kyle Lingwoodock. Eulo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cliff Wege was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
In the 52nd minute of the match Barth Crapp shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kyle Lingwoodock showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 53rd match minute, Eulo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clark Schultz to maneuver through the defense. Phillip Hines took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kyle Lingwoodock. Kyle Lingwoodock dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-2. In the 59th minute Paul Limmer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kyle Lingwoodock saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 72 minutes, Cliff Wege managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wickliffe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cliff Wege was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Phillip Hines in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kyle Lingwoodock saved Eulo from getting behind. Kane Marsland kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. In the 80th minute, Cliff Wege left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Wickliffe fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-2. Kyle Lingwoodock made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cliff Wege in the 84th minute of play. A collision led to Eulo getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Clark Schultz hit a great ball. Phillip Hines's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kyle Lingwoodock read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. Eulo's Kyle Lingwoodock played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Phillip Hines in the 92nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Eulo's Clark Schultz got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Cliff Wege recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Barry Pearson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wickliffe walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
