The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bruce Wittber made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bart Bielski in the 3rd minute. Hynam's Bruce Wittber played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amos Rosenboom in the 4th minute of play. After 9 played minutes Karlgarin got a freekick which was hit by Burt Dillon. Billy Norden struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Porter Haslett didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hynam. The audience was convinced that Parker Bowie's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Porter Haslett was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. 22 minutes into the match, Karlgarin's goal looked a bit too open when Billy Norden came free, but Porter Haslett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Porter Haslett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Billy Norden in the 30th minute of the match. If Parker Bowie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Porter Haslett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Parker Bowie in the 33rd minute of play. When Amos Rosenboom came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Karlgarin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amos Rosenboom couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Hynam's Rodney Staworowski got a free kick in the 35th minute. Parker Bowie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Porter Haslett having to interfere. 41 minutes into the game, Billy Norden cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Porter Haslett was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 45th minute Parker Bowie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Porter Haslett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hynam's Bruce Wittber played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amos Rosenboom in the 47th minute of play. After the first half Hynam were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Billy Norden was the one to do the kick off. Amos Rosenboom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruce Wittber having to interfere. 59 minutes into the match, Hynam's goal looked a bit too open when Bart Bielski came free, but Bruce Wittber reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Billy Norden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeffers Pfingst received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Bruce Wittber tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Karlgarin's Porter Haslett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Billy Norden in the 66th minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, Hynam's goal looked a bit too open when Bart Bielski came free, but Bruce Wittber reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Porter Haslett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Billy Norden, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. 72 minutes into the match, Karlgarin's goalkeeper Porter Haslett had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Parker Bowie. 78 minutes in the game, Parker Bowie fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Porter Haslett having to interfere. Porter Haslett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Billy Norden, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. A collision led to Karlgarin getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Irwin Limmer hit a great ball. Hynam's Phillip Woodbridge couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 85th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Karlgarin. When Ed James fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Karlgarin's protests and gave Ed James a yellow card for diving instead. In the 86th match minute, Karlgarin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ed James to maneuver through the defense. Parker Bowie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Porter Haslett having to interfere. Billy Norden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Porter Haslett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bart Bielski in the 93rd minute of play forced Hynam's goalkeeper Bruce Wittber to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Norm Barling kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. After 97 played minutes, Karlgarin's Burt Dillon shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bruce Wittber came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Karlgarin reached it. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Hynam walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
