Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Mingoola's Bran Bennett started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 2 minutes, Bran Bennett managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mingoola's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bran Bennett was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 4th minute, Mingoola's Duffield Adair ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Payne Unicomb. Payne Unicomb yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Bran Bennett might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Payne Unicomb. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bran Bennett ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bran Bennett in the 15th minute of play forced Woomera U18's goalkeeper Payne Unicomb to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Woomera U18's Payne Unicomb got control of the ball when Duffield Adair tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Rodd Woodbridge could shoot a difficult shot in the 24th minute, which Payne Unicomb however easily saved by the left post. Payne Unicomb was a little too slow when Bran Bennett got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 25th minute. The score was now 2-0. After having played for 30 minutes, Roland Grigson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Woomera U18's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roland Grigson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jason Calver fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Philip Luckham having to interfere. 36 minutes into the match, Edwardo Stafford had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Payne Unicomb. Woomera U18's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edwardo Stafford was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Payne Unicomb showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edwardo Stafford, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Payne Unicomb showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bran Bennett in the 42nd minute of the match. Roland Grigson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Philip Luckham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Roland Grigson to make the kick off. Edwardo Stafford charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edwardo Stafford the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Edwardo Stafford kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. 58 minutes into the match, Woomera U18's goal looked a bit too open when Duffield Adair came free, but Payne Unicomb reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Roland Grigson fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Woomera U18's protests and gave Roland Grigson a yellow card for diving instead. Roland Grigson hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Payne Unicomb showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodd Woodbridge in the 64th minute of the match. 68 minutes into the match, Bran Bennett notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Woomera U18's Payne Unicomb. Payne Unicomb was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bran Bennett in the 72nd minute of play forced Woomera U18's goalkeeper Payne Unicomb to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Mingoola getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Duffield Adair hit a great ball. After 90 played minutes Mingoola got a freekick which was hit by Edwardo Stafford. In the 91st minute, Bran Haydock got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mingoola were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Woomera U18 for a fine match.
