Spectators: 6772 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1772, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Barnard Tinsley took the kick off in the first half of the match. Edmonds Hodson kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gregory Stageman got free with Carmichael Harkness in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jason Macinnes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 17th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Carmichael Harkness. Greenough's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Barnard Tinsley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Carmichael Harkness tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Earnest Cubitt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pearce Riley having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Perth F.C's Kane Tarrant got a free kick in the 26th minute. In the 27th minute of the match Russel Monson shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pearce Riley showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Perth F.C's Pearce Riley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rudolph Smee in the 29th minute of play. Cregan Adair took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 30th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Pearce Riley. Perth F.C's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Rudolph Smee had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cregan Adair took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 37th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Pearce Riley. Perth F.C's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to Perth F.C getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Kane Tarrant hit a great ball. Earnest Cubitt spun around in front of the goal 40 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Perth F.C's goal. After 43 minutes, Tom Bennett mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Perth F.C and the Greenough players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 43rd minute, Tom Bennett hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Earnest Cubitt made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Perth F.C's zone, Earnest Cubitt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pearce Riley came out of the goal and Earnest Cubitt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 54th minute Barnard Tinsley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carmichael Harkness saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Perth F.C's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Al Coote in the 56th minute. Perth F.C's Al Coote was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Carmichael Harkness in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Pearce Riley was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Darin Osbiston showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 58 minute of play. Carmichael Harkness made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Barnard Tinsley in the 62nd minute of play. Samuel Sayner hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Tom Bennett hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Pearce Riley was a little too slow when Earnest Cubitt got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 73rd minute. The score was now 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Earnest Cubitt in the 77th minute of play forced Perth F.C's goalkeeper Pearce Riley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Earnest Cubitt was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 79th minute. Greenough's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 81 minutes into the match, Greenough's Earnest Cubitt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pearce Riley narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Greenough booed when Perth F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barnard Tinsley didn't get a good kick on the ball. Darin Osbiston struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Pearce Riley didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Greenough. In the 86th minute, Rudolph Smee left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Greenough fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Perth F.C's Pearce Riley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Earnest Cubitt in the 95th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Greenough left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Perth F.C.
