Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Glenreagh's Jack Hauschildt started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Byabarra getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Mitchell Galvin hit a great ball. Fletcher Cookesley's shot from long distance in the 4th minute was not bad at all, but Byabarra's Navarro Pincini knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. After some careless play in the Glenreagh defense, Ian Minne kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carleton Newton. The Glenreagh fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carleton Newton should have stopped the shot. After 11th play minutes Darell Convine shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Navarro Pincini and just under the crossbar into goal. Keefe Goldsmith received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Carleton Newton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Darell Convine fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Navarro Pincini having to interfere. 29 minutes into the game, Mitchell Galvin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Byabarra's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Glenreagh the free kick. After 30 played minutes Byabarra got a freekick which was hit by Mitchell Galvin. Jack Hauschildt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Byabarra's Keefe Goldsmith got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Byabarra's Ian Minne in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Glenreagh's goalie prevented a goal. Navarro Pincini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jack Hauschildt in the 37th minute of play. Navarro Pincini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jack Hauschildt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ian Minne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Keefe Goldsmith to make the kick off. Ian Minne could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Carleton Newton made a huge save. If Keefe Goldsmith had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 65 minutes, Abbott Kesi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Byabarra and the Glenreagh players grew even worse after the yellow card. Abbott Kesi kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. If Darell Convine had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Byabarra booed when Glenreagh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mack Coote didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Byabarra's Abbott Kesi got a free kick in the 83rd minute. 84 minutes into the match, Byabarra's goal looked a bit too open when Darell Convine came free, but Navarro Pincini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 85th minute Darell Convine shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Navarro Pincini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Darell Convine in the 91st minute of play forced Byabarra's goalkeeper Navarro Pincini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 93rd minute of the game. One of Glenreagh:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Byabarra:s goal. A collision led to Byabarra getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Abbott Kesi hit a great ball. The Byabarra supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Byabarra would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
