Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Tuggerah's Kirk Porteus started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 4 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Tuggerah! In the 12th match minute, Tuggerah was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Parker Tevelien to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Tuggerah booed when Greenough was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Murphy Brading didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rudolph Smee received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Randell Legg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kirk Porteus could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Carmichael Harkness made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Art Burton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tuggerah's supporters rose to their feet, but Art Burton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carmichael Harkness breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Carmichael Harkness took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kirk Porteus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 36th minute Earnest Cubitt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Randell Legg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, Greenough's Earnest Cubitt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Randell Legg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Randell Legg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rudolph Smee in the 42nd minute of the match. When Earnest Cubitt came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Greenough fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Earnest Cubitt couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Greenough getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Cregan Adair hit a great ball. After 48 played minutes Greenough got a freekick which was hit by Darin Osbiston. Carman Lovis was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 49th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Cregan Adair kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. When Darin Osbiston fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Greenough's protests and gave Darin Osbiston a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Tuggerah booed when Greenough was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Darin Osbiston didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kirk Porteus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Dallas Willding got free in front of the goal in the 68th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Carmichael Harkness was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 73rd minute Earnest Cubitt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Randell Legg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 79th play minute Rudolph Smee came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Randell Legg. 1-2. Darin Osbiston got his second yellow card in the match during the 82nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Greenough's Darin Osbiston got a free kick in the 84th minute. Dallas Willding sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 88th minute Dallas Willding shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carmichael Harkness saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 90 minutes into the game, Parker Tevelien cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Carmichael Harkness was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Greenough players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Tuggerah from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
