Spectators: 7721 (Terracing: 5792, Seating: 1775, VIP seats: 154) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Sam Rheistein kicked off to start the match. Bryan Brotherton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Lance Didlick tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alford Rann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stewart Stockwin lost his temper 12 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Lance Didlick went to the wrong direction when Alford Rann was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. When Waaia's Bryan Brotherton in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Fed Tribe's goalie prevented a goal. In the 17th minute Bryan Brotherton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lance Didlick saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Fed Tribe's zone, Alford Rann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lance Didlick came out of the goal and Alford Rann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dalwood Tebby hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. A collision led to Fed Tribe getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Andrews Egel hit a great ball. 25 minutes into the match, Fed Tribe's goal looked a bit too open when Bryan Brotherton came free, but Lance Didlick reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lance Didlick took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alford Rann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31st minute, Neil Bunworth left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Waaia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Andrews Egel's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Earle Rhoades firmly grabbed it by the left post. After a rather tough play, Fed Tribe's Andrews Egel got a free kick in the 35th minute. Lance Didlick showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alford Rann, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Fed Tribe's Lance Didlick played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alford Rann in the 46th minute of play. Bryan Brotherton might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lance Didlick. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bryan Brotherton ran back to his position shaking his head. Lance Didlick came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Waaia's Alford Rann. But to his dismay, Alford Rann quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bryan Brotherton made a kick off. With a little luck, Fed Tribe's Lance Didlick got control of the ball when Bryan Brotherton tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 56th minute, Bryan Brotherton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Fed Tribe defense, Bryan Brotherton kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lance Didlick. The Fed Tribe fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lance Didlick should have stopped the shot. Howard Smoothey charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Howard Smoothey the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Howard Smoothey hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. In the 70th minute, Fed Tribe's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Bryan Brotherton fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. With a little luck, Fed Tribe's Lance Didlick got control of the ball when Bryan Brotherton tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lance Didlick showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alford Rann in the 96th minute of the match. If Bryan Brotherton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
