Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Birrell Giddey made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 3rd minute, Marco Johnson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tyalgum's Abbott Kreck couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 4th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Broadmarsh. When Stan Delahide came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Tyalgum fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stan Delahide couldn't finish the play. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Tyalgum's Birrell Giddey in the 7th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Raleigh Annis was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Broadmarsh through an amazing save. Stan Delahide received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Raleigh Annis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tyalgum's Ernest Rowden played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rusty Trims in the 14th minute of play. Stan Delahide could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Raleigh Annis made a huge save. Rusty Trims scored 0-1 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ernest Rowden, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 22nd match minute, Broadmarsh was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Darley Addison to maneuver through the defense. Ned Schoenke hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. A collision led to Tyalgum getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Mack Greenan hit a great ball. In the 34th minute, Broadmarsh's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Birrell Giddey fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After a rather tough play, Broadmarsh's Alexander Duggan got a free kick in the 37th minute. Birrell Giddey took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Raleigh Annis. Raleigh Annis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Stan Delahide sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Brayden Slattery made the kick off in the second half. Raleigh Annis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stan Delahide, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Ernest Rowden made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Rusty Trims sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Tyalgum booed when Broadmarsh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Darley Addison didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ned Schoenke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Ernest Rowden tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bickford Dollimore kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Ernest Rowden made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Rusty Trims sent off a good shot on target. Raleigh Annis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Birrell Giddey, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. A collision led to Tyalgum getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Mack Greenan hit a great ball. Brayden Slattery fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernest Rowden having to interfere. In the 92nd minute Brayden Slattery shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernest Rowden saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ernest Rowden was a little too slow when Brayden Slattery got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 96th minute. The score was now 1-3. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Broadmarsh walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
