The audience thought a goal was coming when Matthias Mcjenkins got free with Bath Anders in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 7thth minute of the game Doyle Eicke who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Curitiba Melbs's Byrne Ramsay was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Curitiba Melbs's Byrne Ramsay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doyle Eicke in the 12th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Doyle Eicke in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Byrne Ramsay prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 15 minutes into the game, Curitiba Melbs's Boyd Fazey nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bath Anders made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. If Kale Pears had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kale Pears in the 27th minute of play forced Curitiba Melbs's goalkeeper Byrne Ramsay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 36 minutes, Doyle Eicke mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Yea and the Curitiba Melbs players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 36th minute, Doyle Eicke hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 38th minute Kale Pears shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Byrne Ramsay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kale Pears received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Byrne Ramsay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Byrne Ramsay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Irving Nunn, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Doyle Eicke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Byrne Ramsay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 82nd minute, Curitiba Melbs's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Doyle Eicke fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Byrne Ramsay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kale Pears in the 89th minute of play. If Boyd Fazey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Downing Mcquoid kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Kale Pears struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Byrne Ramsay didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yea. Yea's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
