Andy Macinnes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Lawrance Cookesley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Andy Macinnes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lawrance Cookesley having to interfere. 0-1 became the score in the 38th minute when Ned Deal elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Lawrance Cookesley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ned Deal in the 43rd minute of play. After having played for 45 minutes, Andy Macinnes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Crookwell's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andy Macinnes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Carabost's goalkeeper Lawrance Cookesley, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ned Deal in the 47th minute of play forced Carabost's goalkeeper Lawrance Cookesley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ned Deal to strike the kick off in the second half. Sabastian Whitsitt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfred Ogle in the 51st minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Lorimer Finden's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sabastian Whitsitt was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. If Ned Deal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 66th minute Alfred Ogle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sabastian Whitsitt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sabastian Whitsitt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfred Ogle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Carabost's zone, Andy Macinnes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lawrance Cookesley came out of the goal and Andy Macinnes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Crookwell had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
