The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lawrance Cookesley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bradshaw Warren, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. If Ronald Kinsey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lowrey Dollimore struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Lawrance Cookesley didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dudley Country. In the 8th match minute, Carabost was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bjorn Death to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Carabost's Lewis Biddell got a free kick in the 11th minute. Carabost's Lawrance Cookesley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronald Kinsey in the 13th minute of play. A collision led to Carabost getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Iggy Serena hit a great ball. In the 36th match minute, Dudley Country was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brye Stebbing to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Dudley Country's zone, Alfred Ogle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joshua Lenard came out of the goal and Alfred Ogle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ronald Kinsey struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Lawrance Cookesley didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dudley Country. After 43 played minutes Carabost got a freekick which was hit by Larkins Richard. Ronald Kinsey blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lawrance Cookesley having to make a save. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lorimer Finden to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Carabost's zone, Lowrey Dollimore stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lawrance Cookesley came out of the goal and Lowrey Dollimore tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With his leg Lawrance Cookesley managed to avoid a goal in the 63rdth minute, when Dudley Country's Ronald Kinsey fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ronald Kinsey who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 63rdth minute tested the skills of Lawrance Cookesley when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 66th minute of the match Hank Deal shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Joshua Lenard showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Lawrance Cookesley made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Ronald Kinsey sent off a good shot on target. If Ronald Kinsey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dudley Country's Lowrey Dollimore quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Jessop Rowdon, made in the 75th minute of the game. 82 minutes into the match, Dudley Country's goal looked a bit too open when Alfred Ogle came free, but Joshua Lenard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Carabost's Hank Deal got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Ronald Kinsey let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 89th minute shot 0-2 at rihgt post. After having played for 92 minutes, Ronald Kinsey managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dudley Country's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronald Kinsey was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match was over Dudley Country could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Carabost throughout the match.
