In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Carabost's goalkeeper Lawrance Cookesley, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Trayning booed when Carabost was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Larkins Richard didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lorimer Finden in the 17th minute of play forced Trayning's goalkeeper Phillip Jeffress to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Phillip Jeffress showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lorimer Finden in the 19th minute of the match. Ray Oneill sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 31st minute Lorimer Finden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Phillip Jeffress saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carabost's defense didn't have a chance, in the 34th minute, when Neil Mapps scored to the left of an out of position Lawrance Cookesley, making the score, 1-0. 38 minutes into the match, Trayning's goal looked a bit too open when Lorimer Finden came free, but Phillip Jeffress reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Phillip Jeffress showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lorimer Finden, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. In the 47th minute, Lorimer Finden made a precise shot to the right of Phillip Jeffress. Trayning's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Neil Mapps made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Neil Mapps in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lawrance Cookesley saved Carabost from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Neil Mapps managed to get in a good position for a shot. Trayning's supporters rose to their feet, but Neil Mapps was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lawrance Cookesley breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Lorimer Finden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bud Luckham charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bud Luckham the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 72 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Trayning! Trayning:s Phillip Jeffress showed great skill when he stopped Rick Willison:s penalty. Phillip Jeffress took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lorimer Finden, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hank Deal kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lorimer Finden in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Phillip Jeffress prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Trayning booed when Carabost was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lewis Biddell didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 99th minute, Iggy Serena got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Carabost's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
