Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Darren Fitzpatrick took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 5th minute Darren Fitzpatrick shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Logan Biddell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Logan Biddell was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Darren Fitzpatrick showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 8 minute of play. Wahgunyah's Logan Biddell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Russ Groves in the 11th minute of play. When Darren Fitzpatrick came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Burnbank fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Darren Fitzpatrick couldn't finish the play. Logan Biddell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darren Fitzpatrick in the 16th minute of play. Bradshaw Sewell's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ace Grandison read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. Darren Fitzpatrick fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Logan Biddell having to interfere. Jason Hayward received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Logan Biddell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Logan Biddell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darren Fitzpatrick in the 38th minute of play. With a little luck, Wahgunyah's Logan Biddell got control of the ball when Darren Fitzpatrick tried to sneak it across the goal line. Logan Biddell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darren Fitzpatrick in the 42nd minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Jason Hayward notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Wahgunyah's Logan Biddell. Logan Biddell was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Wahgunyah booed when Burnbank was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jess Reisz didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cod Williams was the one to do the kick off. If Russ Groves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cod Williams received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Ace Grandison tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ace Grandison made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Bradshaw Sewell sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Wahgunyah defense, Darren Fitzpatrick kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Logan Biddell. The Wahgunyah fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Logan Biddell should have stopped the shot. After having played for 66 minutes, Jason Hayward managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Burnbank's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jason Hayward was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 67th match minute, Wahgunyah was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benny Powell to maneuver through the defense. Jason Hayward fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Logan Biddell having to interfere. Jason Hayward sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wahgunyah's Logan Biddell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jason Hayward in the 84th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Wahgunyah's Benny Powell got a free kick in the 85th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jason Hayward in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Logan Biddell prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Darren Fitzpatrick blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Logan Biddell having to make a save. Darren Fitzpatrick fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Logan Biddell having to interfere.
