Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Davey Pearson kicked off to start the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bryanne Beverley in the 2nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fabrizio Beale prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 4 minutes, Bernie Ridding managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jervois's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernie Ridding was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mack Fitton during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Badgen getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Mack Fitton hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Brian Flesfader managed to get in a good position for a shot. Badgen's supporters rose to their feet, but Brian Flesfader was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabrizio Beale breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 13 minutes into the match, Jervois's goalkeeper Fabrizio Beale had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bryanne Beverley. Jervois's Fabrizio Beale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brian Flesfader in the 16th minute of play. If Bryanne Beverley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Blake Ceney didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bernie Ridding went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The crowd rose to their feet as Brian Flesfader kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Fabrizio Beale. That made the score 1-1 in the 28 minute of play. After 32 played minutes Badgen got a freekick which was hit by Eddy Holdsworth. In the 33rd minute of the match Pearce Shipman sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Blake Ceney skillfully saved the ball. In the 35th match minute, Badgen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicholas Franklin to maneuver through the defense. Blake Ceney made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Davey Pearson in the 36th minute of play. If Bernie Ridding had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd play minute Bryanne Beverley came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Fabrizio Beale. 2-1. If Davey Pearson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Brian Flesfader stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bryanne Beverley in the 57th minute of play forced Jervois's goalkeeper Fabrizio Beale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th match minute, Jervois was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brendon Deeth to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Brian Flesfader managed to get in a good position for a shot. Badgen's supporters rose to their feet, but Brian Flesfader was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. After 61 played minutes Jervois got a freekick which was hit by Brendon Deeth. 65 minutes into the game, Marshal Weller was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jervois's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Badgen the free kick. In the 65th minute, one of Jervois:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Jervois. 71 minutes into the match, Badgen's goal looked a bit too open when Davey Pearson came free, but Blake Ceney reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 75th minute of the match, Davey Pearson tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Blake Ceney saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 76thth minute of the game Davey Pearson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Badgen's Blake Ceney was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fabrizio Beale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brian Flesfader in the 82nd minute of play. In the 84th minute, Badgen's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Bernie Ridding fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Bernie Ridding received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Blake Ceney tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 87th minute, Nelson Mundine hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Badgen getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Carlos Slattery hit a great ball. Blake Ceney acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 91st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Pearce Shipman. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Brian Flesfader in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabrizio Beale saved Jervois from getting behind. Bryanne Beverley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
