But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Davey Pearson couldn't finish the play. Arne Dollimore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabrizio Beale having to interfere. If Darin Haskell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arne Dollimore in the 15thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Fabrizio Beale, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Rich Delbridge lost his temper 20 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 20 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Rosetown! Berry Galvin charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Berry Galvin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 23 played minutes Jervois got a freekick which was hit by Berry Galvin. After some careless play in the Rosetown defense, Benney Worrall kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Preston Kerville. The Rosetown fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Preston Kerville should have stopped the shot. After having played for 30 minutes, Arne Dollimore managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rosetown's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arne Dollimore was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arne Dollimore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Fabrizio Beale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nash Wivell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Bernie Ridding had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Davey Pearson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Preston Kerville tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arne Dollimore to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Bernie Ridding managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jervois's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernie Ridding was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Preston Kerville breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Rosetown's Arne Dollimore, in the 56th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Rosetown. The supporters of Jervois booed when Rosetown was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rudolph Flesfader didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rosetown's Preston Kerville proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Rosetown from getting a goal against them. Benney Worrall hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. In the 72nd minute of the match Benney Worrall shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Preston Kerville showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to Rosetown getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Phenix Bleazard hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Jervois's Burtt Fitton got a free kick in the 76th minute. Case Hoskin took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 77th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fabrizio Beale. Jervois's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 79th minute, Bernie Ridding got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arne Dollimore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabrizio Beale having to interfere. Fabrizio Beale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arne Dollimore, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brendon Deeth kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Arne Dollimore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabrizio Beale having to interfere. The supporters of Rosetown booed when Jervois was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benney Worrall didn't get a good kick on the ball. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
