Spectators: 7530 (Terracing: 5762, Seating: 1767, VIP seats: 1) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Stephan Baxter made the kick off which started today's match. Arneil Mcinnis came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Moorabbin's Olin Laughton. But to his dismay, Olin Laughton quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Arneil Mcinnis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Al Blackham in the 11th minute of play. Arneil Mcinnis came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Moorabbin's Olin Laughton. But to his dismay, Olin Laughton quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Bindoon United's Fabian Pincini got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Bindoon United booed when Moorabbin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dan Sedgman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bernard Surman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stephan Baxter in the 21st minute of the match. Rodney Staworowski charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rodney Staworowski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Moorabbin getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Rodney Staworowski hit a great ball. If Fabian Pincini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 31 minutes of play Moorabbin's Rodney Staworowski was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Moorabbin getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Rodney Staworowski hit a great ball. Fabian Pincini's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bernard Surman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olin Laughton in the 35th minute of play forced Bindoon United's goalkeeper Arneil Mcinnis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Moorabbin's Olin Laughton in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bindoon United's goalie prevented a goal. Bernard Surman made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Fabian Pincini sent off a good shot on target. Arneil Mcinnis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olin Laughton, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

If Fabian Pincini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 54 minutes into the match, Moorabbin's goal looked a bit too open when Stephan Baxter came free, but Bernard Surman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fabian Pincini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernard Surman having to interfere. Bernard Surman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabian Pincini in the 58th minute of the match. In the 63rd minute, Tobie Rizzardo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 64 played minutes, Bindoon United's Brooks Roach shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bernard Surman came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Bindoon United reached it. 65 minutes into the match, Moorabbin's Olin Laughton sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arneil Mcinnis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Stephan Baxter came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Bindoon United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stephan Baxter couldn't finish the play. Olin Laughton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 78 minutes into the match, Bindoon United's goalkeeper Arneil Mcinnis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Olin Laughton. Bindoon United's Stephan Baxter got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Olin Laughton who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 82ndth minute tested the skills of Arneil Mcinnis when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Olin Laughton, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 85 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Arneil Mcinnis was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Jayden Cusbert hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. 94 minutes into the match, Bindoon United's Stephan Baxter sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bernard Surman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Bindoon United's zone, Olin Laughton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arneil Mcinnis came out of the goal and Olin Laughton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the final whistle sounded Moorabbin left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Bindoon United.
