Spectators: 6792 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1777, VIP seats: 15) Severnlea's Carleton Whelpton started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Ray Leyden took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Phillip Woods to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carleton Whelpton in the 15th minute of play forced Mongogarie's goalkeeper Ray Crawford to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ray Crawford showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tom Bonham in the 17th minute of the match. Andy Carragher recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lucas Schulzte during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 26 played minutes Mongogarie got a freekick which was hit by Lucas Schulzte. After a rather tough play, Mongogarie's Lucas Schulzte got a free kick in the 28th minute. In the 29th minute of the match Benjy Notley sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ray Crawford skillfully saved the ball. Carleton Whelpton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Ray Crawford tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tom Bonham in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ray Crawford prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 43rd minute, Tom Bonham got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ray Leyden recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

56 minutes into the match, Mongogarie's goalkeeper Ray Crawford had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tom Bonham. The supporters of Severnlea booed when Mongogarie was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barnes Gillingwater didn't get a good kick on the ball. 65 minutes into the game, Carleton Whelpton cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Ray Crawford was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Carleton Whelpton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Ray Crawford tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 71st match minute, Mongogarie was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brent Shirdon to maneuver through the defense. In the 76th minute, Carleton Whelpton fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ray Crawford, passed just outside the right post. Tom Bonham received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Ray Crawford tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ray Crawford prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 80 minutes, Brett Kidman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mongogarie and the Severnlea players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Severnlea booed when Mongogarie was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brett Kidman didn't get a good kick on the ball. 84 minutes into the match, Mongogarie's goal looked a bit too open when Carleton Whelpton came free, but Ray Crawford reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mongogarie's Andy Carragher got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 92nd minute, Bart Aistrope hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Severnlea were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
