Seating: 1797, VIP seats: 0) Severnlea's Carleton Whelpton started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Phillip Woods showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carman Hilton in the 9th minute of the match. The supporters of Kilkivan booed when Severnlea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeffers Notley didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th minute, Jeffers Notley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kilkivan's Cod Natt couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 13th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Severnlea. Paco Pywell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tom Bonham, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carleton Whelpton in the 18th minute of play forced Kilkivan's goalkeeper Paco Pywell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Charles Pinkerton hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 24th minute, Jamie Kernick fired a really elegant long shot, but Phillip Woods threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. Carman Hilton's late challenge caught a Severnlea's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carman Hilton helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Severnlea booed when Kilkivan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carman Hilton didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tom Bonham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paco Pywell having to interfere. Paco Pywell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tom Bonham in the 32nd minute of the match. After 33 minutes Kilkivan's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Benjy Notley who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Severnlea's Benjy Notley to fire away a dangerous shot which Paco Pywell despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Kilkivan's Paco Pywell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carleton Whelpton in the 35th minute of play. Paco Pywell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tom Bonham, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 43rd minute of the match Benjy Notley shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Paco Pywell showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carleton Whelpton in the 44th minute of play forced Kilkivan's goalkeeper Paco Pywell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carman Hilton stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Severnlea's goal looked a bit too open when Carman Hilton came free, but Phillip Woods reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Larkins Clinton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Phillip Woods having to interfere. Severnlea's Tom Bonham got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Paco Pywell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carleton Whelpton in the 60th minute of the match. A collision led to Severnlea getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Kane Bailey hit a great ball. Carman Hilton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Phillip Woods having to interfere. Paco Pywell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carleton Whelpton in the 71st minute of the match. If Tom Bonham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Paco Pywell came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Severnlea's Tom Bonham. But to his dismay, Tom Bonham quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Carleton Whelpton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paco Pywell having to interfere. Kane Bailey could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Paco Pywell made a huge save. After 91 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Severnlea! In the 98th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kilkivan's goalkeeper Paco Pywell, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Severnlea's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
