Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ringo Maunsell started the match with the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Hagley's Ringo Maunsell slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Earle Potter. That made the score 1-0 after 12 minutes of play. 15 minutes into the match, Ringo Maunsell dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Earle Potter, 2-0. When Earl Benton came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Quantong fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Earl Benton couldn't finish the play. Ringo Maunsell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Earle Potter having to interfere. Ringo Maunsell might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Earle Potter. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ringo Maunsell ran back to his position shaking his head. Kevin Pearce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arne Tearle, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 38th minute, Arne Tearle ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kevin Pearce was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. 41 minutes into the match, Hagley's goal looked a bit too open when Earl Benton came free, but Kevin Pearce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kevin Pearce showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arne Tearle in the 42nd minute of the match. After having played for 45 minutes, Abe Christian managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hagley's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abe Christian was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ringo Maunsell in the 47th minute of play forced Quantong's goalkeeper Earle Potter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arne Tearle made a kick off. After 51 played minutes Hagley got a freekick which was hit by Byron Macumber. Jayden Hilton struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Kevin Pearce didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quantong. Abe Christian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kevin Pearce showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arne Tearle in the 57th minute of the match. If Abe Christian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dane Keato hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Earle Potter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ringo Maunsell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Abe Christian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Darell Norden charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Darell Norden the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Darell Norden kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Hagley had won after a very even match.
