The audience was convinced that Jarvis Hodge's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Connor Dalglish was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. Tom Kennewell charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lawrance Maybury made a kick off. Lawrance Maybury struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Dugald Kepert didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Palmervill. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Brookes Fison in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dugald Kepert prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Palmervill getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Barnard Sewell hit a great ball. In the 58th minute, Carlisle Cordrey ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Connor Dalglish was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. The supporters of Palmervill booed when Bindle was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tom Kennewell didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Palmervill's Antony Biddell got a free kick in the 61st minute. Dugald Kepert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brookes Fison in the 67th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Bindle's zone, Brookes Fison stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dugald Kepert came out of the goal and Brookes Fison tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Lawrance Maybury had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eavan Annis charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Lawrance Maybury managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palmervill's supporters rose to their feet, but Lawrance Maybury was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dugald Kepert breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Brookes Fison had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute.
