Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dalwood Skurrie started the match with the kick off. Nicholas Markwell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lewis Leyden kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. When Nicholas Markwell came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Dapto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nicholas Markwell couldn't finish the play. 9 minutes into the game, Anthony Crawford was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Melbourne Glory's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dapto the free kick. After 9 played minutes Melbourne Glory got a freekick which was hit by Anthony Crawford. Dalwood Skurrie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dalwood Skurrie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Otto Durbridge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 14 minutes into the game, one of Melbourne Glory:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Aron Nunn walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. If Blade Cuddihy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Anthony Crawford was shown his second yellow card after 21 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. When the match had been going on for 23 minutes, Dapto's Aron Nunn got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Otto Durbridge. Lewis Leyden kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. If Lewis Leyden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Dapto's goalkeeper Andy Kirkham, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Melbourne Glory getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Kirby Feutrill hit a great ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edwin Mewburn was the one to do the kick off. Dapto's Dalwood Skurrie got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 64th minute, Dalwood Skurrie got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Otto Durbridge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dalwood Skurrie, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. In the 79th minute, Dalwood Skurrie got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Nicholas Markwell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 84 minutes, Edwin Mewburn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Melbourne Glory's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edwin Mewburn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Edwin Mewburn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Edwin Mewburn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Andy Kirkham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 90 minutes into the game, Dalwood Skurrie cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Otto Durbridge was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 93rd match minute, Melbourne Glory was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edwin Mewburn to maneuver through the defense. Otto Durbridge took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dalwood Skurrie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
