Spectators: 4000 (Terracing: 3000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Rex Chamberlain started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 0-1 became the score in the 2nd minute when Bruce Convine elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 5th match minute, Guilford was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Burtt Norden to maneuver through the defense. Reginald Slattery took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruce Convine, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Belmore Bronx's Reginald Slattery played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Burt Cootes in the 9th minute of play. Jessop Osbiston went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Guilford's corner Jessop Osbiston fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Reginald Slattery quite easily take care of the ball. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Belmore Bronx's goalkeeper Reginald Slattery, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 21st match minute, Belmore Bronx was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Calvin Mcroberts to maneuver through the defense. Bruce Convine struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Reginald Slattery didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guilford. After a rather tough play, Guilford's Cornelius Colman got a free kick in the 31st minute. If Burt Cootes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pete Giles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Guilford getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Cornelius Colman hit a great ball. Remington Alcock was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 49th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After the first half Guilford were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rex Chamberlain in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ren Didlock prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ren Didlock made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rex Chamberlain in the 54th minute of play. 55 minutes into the game, one of Guilford:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 57th minute there was a penalty for Belmore Bronx. Remington Alcock stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ren Didlock. 1-1. Ren Didlock made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pete Giles in the 61st minute of play. Cornelius Colman's late challenge caught a Belmore Bronx's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cornelius Colman helped the player get up and apologised. After 63 played minutes Guilford got a freekick which was hit by Cornelius Colman. Belmore Bronx's Reginald Slattery played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Burt Cootes in the 65th minute of play. In the last second Reginald Slattery throw himself and got hold of the ball when Burt Cootes in the 70thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Reginald Slattery made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Bruce Convine sent off a good shot on target. Bruce Convine could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Reginald Slattery made a huge save. Rex Chamberlain received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Ren Didlock tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ren Didlock showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rex Chamberlain, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Pete Giles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ren Didlock having to interfere. After having played for 92 minutes, Bruce Convine managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guilford's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bruce Convine was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pete Giles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 97th minute the ball was on its way in behind Guilford's goalkeeper Ren Didlock, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 99 minutes into the match, Belmore Bronx's goal looked a bit too open when Burt Cootes came free, but Reginald Slattery reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pete Giles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 100th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
