Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Rufus Rose got the match started through his kick off. With an all-out effort, Kuringup's Ren Didlock threw himself towards the right post 6 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rufus Rose, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 9th minute Rufus Rose shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ren Didlock saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Rufus Rose had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rufus Rose who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 14thth minute tested the skills of Ren Didlock when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 0-1 became the score in the 17th minute when Burt Cootes elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Burt Cootes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Adolfo Wirth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bruce Convine fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolfo Wirth having to interfere. Adolfo Wirth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruce Convine, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. After a rather tough play, Kuringup's Dane Didlock got a free kick in the 26th minute. Burt Cootes struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Adolfo Wirth didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guilford. Guilford's Cornelius Colman suffered a concussion after 32 minutes and had to leave the field. Artie Garing charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Artie Garing the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Kuringup's Artie Garing got a free kick in the 33rd minute. If Bruce Convine had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kuringup's Adolfo Wirth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Burt Cootes in the 38th minute of play. If Bryson Beckwith had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Darian Aylwin charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Darian Aylwin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Guilford's Ren Didlock proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Guilford from getting a goal against them. Bruce Convine received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Adolfo Wirth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bruce Convine sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Bruce Convine made the kick off in the second half. Adolfo Wirth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Burtt Norden, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. After 62 minutes of play, Guilford's Burtt Norden made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Adolfo Wirth was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ren Didlock made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bryson Beckwith in the 67th minute of play. Bryson Beckwith received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Ren Didlock tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Kuringup booed when Guilford was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Darian Aylwin didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Kuringup getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Blake Howard hit a great ball. Rufus Rose received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Ren Didlock tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rufus Rose recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Kuringup's Adolfo Wirth got control of the ball when Bruce Convine tried to sneak it across the goal line.
