A very good chance for a goal. 41 minutes into the match, Kalgoorlie's goal looked a bit too open when Downing Minton came free, but Michael Lascelles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Eavan Bower managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wolf Pack's supporters rose to their feet, but Eavan Bower was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Michael Lascelles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

Michael Lascelles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Biddle Lewry, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. When the match clock showed 83 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Biddle Lewry sped through Kalgoorlie's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Michael Lascelles. Brand Hinwood's late challenge caught a Wolf Pack's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Brand Hinwood helped the player get up and apologised. In the 95th minute, Jared Gruer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Wolf Pack fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-1.
