Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Eddy Christina took the kick off in the first half of the match. 4 minutes into the match, Hatherleigh's goal looked a bit too open when Conner Kesi came free, but Dan Keato reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benedict Cootes charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Benedict Cootes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Hatherleigh's Douglas Adamson got a free kick in the 6th minute. Payne Monson got in the 7th minute the ball and tried a long shot which scored to the left of Dan Keato and thus it was 1-0. Dan Keato was a little too slow when Conner Kesi got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 11th minute. The score was now 2-0. In the 14th match minute, Hatherleigh was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Douglas Adamson to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Ed Balaam managed to get in a good position for a shot. Little River Lions's supporters rose to their feet, but Ed Balaam was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dan Keato breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Benedict Cootes was shown his second yellow card after 18 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Hatherleigh's Benedict Cootes got a free kick in the 19th minute. Conner Kesi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Ed Balaam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anthony Rhoades's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 36thth minute, Dan Keato skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ed Balaam blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dan Keato having to make a save. Douglas Adamson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carter Ridding fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cregan Grandison having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Conner Kesi to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Hatherleigh's zone, Ed Balaam stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dan Keato came out of the goal and Ed Balaam tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hatherleigh's Dan Keato played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Conner Kesi in the 54th minute of play. A collision led to Hatherleigh getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Brand Willis hit a great ball. 57 minutes into the match, Little River Lions's Payne Monson broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After 63 played minutes Little River Lions got a freekick which was hit by Payne Monson. Douglas Adamson's late challenge caught a Little River Lions's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Douglas Adamson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 65th minute, Douglas Adamson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Conner Kesi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ed Balaam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dan Keato having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Hatherleigh's Eddy Christina got a free kick in the 80th minute. Dan Keato made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ed Balaam in the 81st minute of play. When Conner Kesi came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Little River Lions fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Conner Kesi couldn't finish the play. Conner Kesi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dan Keato having to interfere. Eddy Christina charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eddy Christina the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Hatherleigh getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Eddy Christina hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 98 minutes, Ed Balaam put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Dan Keato.
