Carleton Neich sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 7th minute, Zack Lucas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 16th minute, Jonathan Groves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 23rd minute, Carlisle Mcinnes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 24th minute Carleton Neich shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Crawford Kiel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th minute, Dwight Bowman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The throw-in from Zack Lucas in the 27th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Quandary's Burns Willding. If Carlisle Mcinnes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th match minute, Quandary was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgar Bleazard to maneuver through the defense. Larry Mitchell kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Crawford Kiel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carleton Neich in the 34th minute. 36 minutes into the match, Larry Mitchell dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Crawford Kiel, 1-0. The throw-in from Jonathan Groves in the 40th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Quandary's Edgar Bleazard. The crowd rose to their feet as Larry Mitchell kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Crawford Kiel. That made the score 2-0 in the 41 minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Randle Diehl made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 53 minutes, Carlisle Mcinnes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Melbourne City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlisle Mcinnes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Danny Allcock received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Crawford Kiel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Randle Diehl received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Curtis Shortus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zack Lucas during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Quandary booed when Melbourne City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zack Lucas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 63 minutes, Carleton Neich managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quandary's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carleton Neich was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Baxter Fallen's late challenge caught a Melbourne City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Baxter Fallen helped the player get up and apologised. After 68 played minutes Quandary got a freekick which was hit by Baxter Fallen. Carlisle Mcinnes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Melbourne City's zone, Burns Willding stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Crawford Kiel came out of the goal and Burns Willding tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Burns Willding received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Crawford Kiel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A hard shot 81 in the game by Carlisle Mcinnes from a close distance when the talented Curtis Shortus managed to make a qualified save. Quandary's players were relieved. 82 minutes into the match, Carleton Neich had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Crawford Kiel. Melbourne City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carleton Neich was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. In the 85th minute Larry Mitchell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Crawford Kiel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Burns Willding had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carleton Neich recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee ended the match the Quandary players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
