Seating: 1769, VIP seats: 0) Tobie Glover started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After having played for 3 minutes, Drew Norman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maxwelton's supporters crossed their fingers, but Drew Norman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 9 minutes into the match, Cassidy Prinsep had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Byrne Hayman. Maxwelton's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cassidy Prinsep was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After having played for 14 minutes, Brockman Mcmurchie managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Moonford's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brockman Mcmurchie was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Byrne Ayrton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tobie Glover, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Byrne Hayman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Brockman Mcmurchie went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Moonford's Byrne Ayrton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tobie Glover in the 31st minute of play. Byrne Hayman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cassidy Prinsep in the 34th minute of play. In the 36th minute, Earl Bonnison got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Byrne Hayman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brockman Mcmurchie in the 38th minute of play. If Cassidy Prinsep had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Brockman Mcmurchie in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Byrne Hayman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Earl Bonnison had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
Byrne Hayman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cassidy Prinsep in the 53rd minute of play. Maxwelton's Byrne Hayman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cassidy Prinsep in the 54th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Brockman Mcmurchie managed to get in a good position for a shot. Moonford's supporters rose to their feet, but Brockman Mcmurchie was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Byrne Hayman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Moonford's Cassidy Prinsep slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Byrne Hayman. That made the score 0-3 after 66 minutes of play. Brockman Mcmurchie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Byrne Hayman having to interfere. Maxwelton's Ralph Kuskoff got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Drew Norman fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Maxwelton's protests and gave Drew Norman a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Moonford booed when Maxwelton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Drew Norman didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Maxwelton's Fletcher Moorby got a free kick in the 84th minute. Cassidy Prinsep fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Byrne Hayman having to interfere. Brockman Mcmurchie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Byrne Hayman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Byrne Hayman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cassidy Prinsep, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. 94 minutes into the game, Nathan Ashby was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Maxwelton's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Moonford the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Maxwelton fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 94th minute. Penalty! 0-4 came through a penalty shot after 96 played minutes, when Moonford:s Karl Maddern calmly waited for Maxwelton:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post.
