Dario Kennedy was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Kathmandu Academy's Dario Kennedy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Kathmandu Academy from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Otto Haslem's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dario Kennedy was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. If Martyon Laws had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Otto Haslem's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dario Kennedy was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Kathmandu Academy's Darley Mcmanamny got a free kick in the 37th minute. Thomas Wilson struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Dario Kennedy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Earlwood. Otto Haslem sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Everett Calver to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 77th minute, Kathmandu Academy's Barnard Kennedy seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Barnard Kennedy the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Kathmandu Academy protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Barnard Kennedy had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 77 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Kathmandu Academy! Thomas Wilson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Dario Kennedy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kathmandu Academy's Dario Kennedy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Otto Haslem in the 94th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Kathmandu Academy's zone, Otto Haslem stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dario Kennedy came out of the goal and Otto Haslem tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Earlwood walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
