The supporters of Price booed when Elwood was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Price's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jeremy Paddle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Price's Abe Egel got a free kick in the 24th minute. Aron Quigley kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abe Egel in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Barnard Orr prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 29 minutes, Gregory Blagburn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Elwood's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gregory Blagburn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Gregory Blagburn managed to get in a good position for a shot. Elwood's supporters rose to their feet, but Gregory Blagburn was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Matthias Clubley breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lawrance Virgin kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Jeremy Paddle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 61stth minute of the game Abe Egel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Elwood's Barnard Orr was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jack Hardiman made a great header on Price's corner, it was just that Elwood's Barnard Orr managed to reach the ball for a save. After 68 minutes, Steve Black mouthed his way into the referee's book. In the 98th match minute, Elwood was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lawrance Virgin to maneuver through the defense. After 99 played minutes, Price's Jack Hardiman shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Barnard Orr came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Price reached it.
