Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Clark Rafferty took the kick off in the first half of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rod Rhoades in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jesse Rennie prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gundary's Randolph Buckland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clark Rafferty in the 7th minute of play. 9 minutes into the match, Clark Rafferty had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Randolph Buckland. Gundary's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Clark Rafferty was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Jesse Rennie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rod Rhoades in the 12th minute of play. If Bern Baptiste had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Clark Rafferty recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Clark Rafferty received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Randolph Buckland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jesse Rennie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmonds See in the 29th minute of the match. Edmonds See took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jesse Rennie. Jesse Rennie dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 36th minute, Clark Rafferty got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Japoonvale's Jesse Rennie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmonds See in the 38th minute of play. Clark Rafferty struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Randolph Buckland didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Japoonvale. With a little luck, Gundary's Randolph Buckland got control of the ball when Bern Baptiste tried to sneak it across the goal line. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

If Clark Rafferty had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brand Howard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Randolph Buckland having to interfere. Bern Baptiste received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Randolph Buckland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bern Baptiste sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 65thth minute of the game Clark Rafferty who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gundary's Randolph Buckland was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brand Howard in the 67th minute of play forced Gundary's goalkeeper Randolph Buckland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Randolph Buckland took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bern Baptiste, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Gundary's zone, Clark Rafferty stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Randolph Buckland came out of the goal and Clark Rafferty tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmonds See in the 84th minute of play forced Japoonvale's goalkeeper Jesse Rennie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Clark Rafferty blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Randolph Buckland having to make a save. Edmonds See recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Randolph Buckland took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clark Rafferty, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Japoonvale had played much better football throughout.
