The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 7 minutes into the match, Russell Byrnes notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of FC Donks's Jemmett Ryan. Jemmett Ryan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to FC Donks getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Carlton Ancell hit a great ball. Boyce Grandison received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Jemmett Ryan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 0-2 became the score in the 20th minute when Boyce Grandison elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 22ndth minute of the game Russell Byrnes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Donks's Jemmett Ryan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Boyce Grandison fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jemmett Ryan having to interfere. The supporters of FC Donks booed when Central City Stars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dan Mcmillan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Russell Byrnes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jemmett Ryan having to interfere. After 39 played minutes FC Donks got a freekick which was hit by Andres Awage. In the 40th minute, Jarrod Block sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and FC Donks's Jemmett Ryan didn't even have to move. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Russell Byrnes in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jemmett Ryan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Boyce Grandison to strike the kick off in the second half. Russell Byrnes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 54thth minute tested the skills of Jemmett Ryan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 54th minute, Andres Awage hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to FC Donks getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Andres Awage hit a great ball. FC Donks's Jemmett Ryan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save FC Donks from getting a goal against them. Jemmett Ryan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Boyce Grandison in the 65th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paul Warhurst during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Central City Stars's Paul Warhurst got a free kick in the 66th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Antonia Markou in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Preston Monck prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 81st minute, Brent Wirth made a precise shot to the right of Preston Monck. Central City Stars's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boyce Grandison in the 84th minute of play forced FC Donks's goalkeeper Jemmett Ryan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 85th minute, Andres Awage hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Donks's Jemmett Ryan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bo Greenan in the 89th minute of play. Russell Byrnes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jemmett Ryan having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Central City Stars's zone, Brent Wirth stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Preston Monck came out of the goal and Brent Wirth tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Central City Stars supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Central City Stars would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
