Song Lam Nghe An's defense didn't have a chance, in the 13th minute, when Ethan Holdsworth scored to the left of an out of position Jonathan Auger, making the score, 1-0. Ethan Holdsworth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Auger having to interfere. Carlton Devere didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rolando Kiel went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Carlton Devere made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rolando Kiel in the 25th minute of play. The supporters of Song Lam Nghe An booed when Calingiri was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Loud Venz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlton Devere showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rolando Kiel, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Jonathan Auger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ethan Holdsworth, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Calingiri's Ethan Holdsworth got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 45 played minutes Song Lam Nghe An got a freekick which was hit by James Kernick. Ethan Holdsworth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Jonathan Auger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kevin Hodgson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Song Lam Nghe An's goalkeeper Jonathan Auger, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jonathan Auger didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ethan Holdsworth went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ray Goodbun couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Cole Quelch managed to get in a good position for a shot. Calingiri's supporters rose to their feet, but Cole Quelch was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Auger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rolando Kiel in the 96thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Carlton Devere, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When the referee ended the match the Calingiri players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
