Spectators: 7400 (Terracing: 5800, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 100) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Elliott Turnbull took the kick off in the first half of the match. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Beachton reached it. With his leg Andy Meyers managed to avoid a goal in the 18thth minute, when Latrobe's Jess Kinnaird fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Andy Meyers made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Jess Kinnaird sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Latrobe's zone, Patrick Haeberle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jason Moon came out of the goal and Patrick Haeberle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The nice shot from Jess Kinnaird in the 29thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Andy Meyers had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jess Kinnaird in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Andy Meyers prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 38 minutes into the match, Latrobe's goal looked a bit too open when Carl Huther came free, but Jason Moon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 40 minutes, Patrick Haeberle made it 2-3 with a short kick to the right side. Latrobe's Jason Moon tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Brian Didlick hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. If Elliott Turnbull had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Latrobe booed when Beachton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Norm Hodgson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Beachton were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Patrick Haeberle to strike the kick off in the second half. Andy Meyers didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jess Kinnaird went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-3 was the resulting score. 58 minutes into the game, Elliott Turnbull cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-3. Andy Meyers was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 62nd minute Jess Kinnaird shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andy Meyers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Beachton booed when Latrobe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eavan Ludwick didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 70th minute, Patrick Haeberle fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Jason Moon, passed just outside the right post.
