Spectators: 5875 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1875, VIP seats: 0) Eavan Ludwick kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Dan Mills made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jess Kinnaird in the 11th minute of play. Dan Mills showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jess Kinnaird in the 12th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dario Chamberlain in the 14th minute of play forced Latrobe's goalkeeper Jason Moon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ruby's zone, Patrick Didlock stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dan Mills came out of the goal and Patrick Didlock tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dan Mills showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elliott Turnbull in the 16th minute of the match. Elliott Turnbull sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Latrobe getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Jess Kinnaird hit a great ball. Kevin Awage recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kevin Awages short, quick shot in the 26thth minute got Jason Moon to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Rusty Petersen hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Latrobe's zone, Dario Chamberlain stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jason Moon came out of the goal and Dario Chamberlain tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Elliott Turnbull fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dan Mills having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Latrobe's zone, Kevin Awage stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jason Moon came out of the goal and Kevin Awage tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dario Chamberlain could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Jason Moon made a huge save. After having played for 39 minutes, Alan Bowman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ruby's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alan Bowman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ruby's Dan Mills played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jess Kinnaird in the 43rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jess Kinnaird in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dan Mills saved Ruby from getting behind. Dan Mills came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Latrobe's Jess Kinnaird. But to his dismay, Jess Kinnaird quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

56 minutes into the match, Dario Chamberlain notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Latrobe's Jason Moon. Jason Moon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Kevin Awage put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jason Moon. In the 66th minute, Kevin Awage left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ruby fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. If Kevin Awage had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elliott Turnbull received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dan Mills came out and tried to block the shot, but Elliott Turnbull slotted it home off the left post making it 3-2 in the 71st minute. Jason Moon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lowrey Duggan, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. A collision led to Latrobe getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Grant Busst hit a great ball. Dario Chamberlain fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jason Moon having to interfere. After 85th play minutes Dario Chamberlain shot 4-2, a short shot which went by Jason Moon and just under the crossbar into goal. 95 minutes into the match, Ruby's goal looked a bit too open when Elliott Turnbull came free, but Dan Mills reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Ruby had played much better football throughout.
