Spectators: 6830 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1830, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Hale Nurthen started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd match minute, Lawnswood was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hale Nurthen to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Lawnswood defense, Berkeley Nurthen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dan Hunter. The Lawnswood fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dan Hunter should have stopped the shot. Jamie Mcenally hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Hale Nurthen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Berke Curtis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hale Nurthen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Berke Curtis having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Lawnswood's Jamese Vaughan got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Berkeley Nurthen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Berke Sobezak managed to get in a good position for a shot. Collingwood's supporters rose to their feet, but Berke Sobezak was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dan Hunter breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 37th minute Berkeley Nurthen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dan Hunter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Lawnswood's zone, Berke Sobezak stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dan Hunter came out of the goal and Berke Sobezak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 42 minutes into the match, Berkeley Nurthen notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Lawnswood's Dan Hunter. Dan Hunter was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Berke Sobezak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Dan Hunter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The wind increased when Berke Sobezak made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Collingwood booed when Lawnswood was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hale Nurthen didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Berke Sobezak in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dan Hunter saved Lawnswood from getting behind. When Collingwood's Berke Sobezak in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lawnswood's goalie prevented a goal. Berkeley Nurthen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dan Hunter having to interfere. If Berkeley Nurthen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Lawnswood's Fleming Willis got a free kick in the 69th minute. After having played for 76 minutes, Jamese Vaughan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lawnswood's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jamese Vaughan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 79th minute, Berkeley Nurthen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Collingwood fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kris Mcinnes during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Collingwood's Kris Mcinnes got a free kick in the 83rd minute. When Berkeley Nurthen came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Collingwood fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Berkeley Nurthen couldn't finish the play. Dan Hunter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Berke Sobezak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match was over Collingwood could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Lawnswood throughout the match.
