An unexpectedly hard shot by Carman Bowen in the 22nd minute of play forced Melbourne City 2030's goalkeeper Emilian Stârcea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute, Baxter Sinden made a precise shot to the right of Emilian Stârcea. Melbourne City 2030's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After 29 minutes, Darren Everett mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wongamine and the Melbourne City 2030 players grew even worse after the yellow card. Darren Everett kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Emilian Stârcea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carman Bowen in the 32nd minute of play. Dagan Reynolds recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Buchanan Smoothey fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Wongamine's protests and gave Buchanan Smoothey a yellow card for diving instead. Buchanan Smoothey hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dagan Reynolds to strike the kick off in the second half. Emilian Stârcea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baxter Sinden, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Melbourne City 2030's Emilian Stârcea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baxter Sinden in the 55th minute of play. Dagan Reynolds might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Blake Lambourne. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dagan Reynolds ran back to his position shaking his head. Anthony Mudie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dagan Reynolds scored 1-1 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Blake Lambourne, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Carman Bowen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Emilian Stârcea made a huge save. Emilian Stârcea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baxter Sinden in the 72nd minute of the match. Emilian Stârcea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baxter Sinden in the 76th minute of play. Anthony Mudie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Neale Foley recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Melbourne City 2030 were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
