After 19th play minutes Dagan Reynolds shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Edmundson Szobczak and just under the crossbar into goal. Edmundson Szobczak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anthony Mudie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dagan Reynolds in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edmundson Szobczak saved Henrietta from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Dagan Reynolds's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edmundson Szobczak was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Emilian Stârcea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cliff Gavin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee gave Melbourne City 2030 a penalty, 28 minutes into the game. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Henrietta's goalkeeper Edmundson Szobczak, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Dagan Reynolds managed to get in a good position for a shot. Melbourne City 2030's supporters rose to their feet, but Dagan Reynolds was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edmundson Szobczak breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dagan Reynolds fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmundson Szobczak having to interfere. The referee felt a red card was in order, 45 minutes into the game, when Karl Muncaster put in a rough tackle. Christopher Mogork walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post.

A collision led to Henrietta getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Cliff Gavin hit a great ball. 57 minutes into the match, Melbourne City 2030's goalkeeper Emilian Stârcea had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andre Dearn. Emilian Stârcea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cliff Gavin in the 58th minute of play. Emilian Stârcea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cliff Gavin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 61st minute, Cliff Gavin fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Emilian Stârcea, passed just outside the right post. Melbourne City 2030's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dagan Reynolds was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 83rd minute Cliff Gavin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emilian Stârcea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Henrietta defense, Dagan Reynolds kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edmundson Szobczak. The Henrietta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edmundson Szobczak should have stopped the shot. If Dagan Reynolds had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Melbourne City 2030 getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Buchanan Hands hit a great ball. After 98 played minutes, Henrietta's Christopher Mogork shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Emilian Stârcea came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Henrietta reached it. When the referee ended the match the Melbourne City 2030 players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
