Spectators: 7820 (Terracing: 6000, Seating: 1700, VIP seats: 120) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Dakota Crane kicked off to start the match. Jason Rishton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexander Ashwin in the 3rd minute of play. In the 4th minute, Belton Pegler got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alexander Ashwin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Belton Pegler came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Meow fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Belton Pegler couldn't finish the play. Alexander Ashwin might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jason Rishton. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alexander Ashwin ran back to his position shaking his head. Lance Dobbing's late challenge caught a Meow's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lance Dobbing helped the player get up and apologised. Jacobs Knevett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dakota Crane, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carlisle Pike took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 18th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jason Rishton. Penguins FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Alexander Ashwin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jason Rishton having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alexander Ashwin in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jason Rishton prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With an all-out effort, Penguins FC's Jacobs Knevett threw himself towards the right post 24 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Dakota Crane, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 26 minutes into the match, Penguins FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alexander Ashwin came free, but Jason Rishton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th minute Belton Pegler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jason Rishton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Penguins FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alexander Ashwin came free, but Jason Rishton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Meow's zone, Dakota Crane stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacobs Knevett came out of the goal and Dakota Crane tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Roland Pears fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobs Knevett having to interfere. Roland Pearss short, quick shot in the 40thth minute got Jacobs Knevett to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 44th minute, Roland Pears ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jacobs Knevett was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alexander Ashwin to make the kick off. When Brice Maddern fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Penguins FC's protests and gave Brice Maddern a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Penguins FC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Brice Maddern hit a great ball. In the 56th minute Alexander Ashwin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jason Rishton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 61st minute, Roland Pears got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jacobs Knevett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roland Pears in the 63rd minute of play. Alexander Ashwin received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jason Rishton came out and tried to block the shot, but Alexander Ashwin slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 71st minute. If Dakota Crane had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dakota Crane received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Jacobs Knevett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th minute Alexander Ashwin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jason Rishton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 93 minutes into the match, Meow's Alexander Ashwin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jason Rishton narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Meow had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
