Woodhouselee's Edison Macumber played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bishop Arkinstall in the 26th minute of play. In the 28th minute Bishop Arkinstall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edison Macumber saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Woodhouselee booed when Spoiled Kid Sydney was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rudy Richard didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Bishop Arkinstall managed to get in a good position for a shot. Spoiled Kid Sydney's supporters rose to their feet, but Bishop Arkinstall was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
