Seating: 1841, VIP seats: 159) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Tobie Carragher took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Dallas Glover fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sale's protests and gave Dallas Glover a yellow card for diving instead. When Tobie Carragher came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Woodhouselee fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tobie Carragher couldn't finish the play. A hard shot 14 in the game by Tobie Carragher from a close distance when the talented Christopher Staggard managed to make a qualified save. Sale's players were relieved. Anthony Andrews's late challenge caught a Sale's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anthony Andrews helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 17th minute of the game. One of Woodhouselee:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sale:s goal. After having played for 22 minutes, Anthony Andrews managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Woodhouselee's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anthony Andrews was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 25 minutes into the match, Blake Everett notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Sale's Christopher Staggard. Christopher Staggard was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Sale's zone, Tobie Carragher stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christopher Staggard came out of the goal and Tobie Carragher tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Christopher Staggard made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anthony Andrews in the 37th minute. Tobie Carraghers short, quick shot in the 38thth minute got Christopher Staggard to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Christopher Staggard came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Woodhouselee's Anthony Andrews. But to his dismay, Anthony Andrews quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. A hard shot 44 in the game by Tobie Carragher from a close distance when the talented Christopher Staggard managed to make a qualified save. Sale's players were relieved. Tobie Carragher who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 45thth minute tested the skills of Christopher Staggard when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The audience was convinced that Tobie Carragher's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christopher Staggard was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. If Anthony Andrews had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tobie Carragher in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christopher Staggard prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Dalton Barugh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Woodhouselee's Anthony Andrews got a free kick in the 74th minute. Tobie Carragher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christopher Staggard having to interfere. Anthony Andrews might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Christopher Staggard. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Anthony Andrews ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 90th minute Tobie Carragher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christopher Staggard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 95th match minute, Woodhouselee was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Otto Ludwick to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Woodhouselee had won after a very even match.
