Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Cole Kuskoff took the kick off in the first half of the match. 5 minutes into the match, Chute's goal looked a bit too open when Edwardo Ross came free, but Artie Butterworth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 9 minutes into the match, Palmerston North Pirates's goalkeeper Battle Block had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dalwood Anderson. 10 minutes into the match, Dalwood Anderson dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Battle Block, 1-0. In the 13thth minute of the game Edwardo Ross who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chute's Artie Butterworth was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Battle Block was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cole Kuskoff showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 21 minute of play. Dalwood Anderson's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Battle Block firmly grabbed it by the left post. Dalwood Anderson came free with the goalkeeper in the 29th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Battle Block could save by the left post. The supporters of Chute booed when Palmerston North Pirates was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tobie Parryman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Palmerston North Pirates's Battle Block played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cole Kuskoff in the 31st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cole Kuskoff in the 33rd minute of play forced Palmerston North Pirates's goalkeeper Battle Block to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 38 minutes, Lucas Bailey mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chute and the Palmerston North Pirates players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 38th match minute, Chute was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucas Bailey to maneuver through the defense. 46 minutes into the match, Palmerston North Pirates's goalkeeper Battle Block had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dalwood Anderson. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bert Johnson made a kick off. Dalwood Anderson struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Battle Block didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chute. Dalwood Anderson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 62 minutes into the game, Cole Kuskoff cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Battle Block was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 67th minute, Cole Kuskoff ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Battle Block was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Cole Kuskoff recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Edwardo Ross had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dan Wittber charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dan Wittber the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Palmerston North Pirates getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Dan Wittber hit a great ball. When Dalwood Anderson, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 78 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Battle Block was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Cole Kuskoff recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Chute's Dalwood Anderson got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dalwood Anderson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Chute's Cole Kuskoff in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Palmerston North Pirates's goalie prevented a goal. After some careless play in the Palmerston North Pirates defense, Dalwood Anderson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Battle Block. The Palmerston North Pirates fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Battle Block should have stopped the shot. When the referee ended the match the Chute players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
