Spectators: 6837 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1837, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Carlisle Allcock got the match started through his kick off. Kris Nolan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Peter Trezise tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Kris Nolan came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Queenscliff fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kris Nolan couldn't finish the play. Kris Nolans short, quick shot in the 7thth minute got Peter Trezise to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A collision led to Queenscliff getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Cullen Kanack hit a great ball. In the 13th minute Carlisle Allcock shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Browne Houldsworth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brye Diehl charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Brye Diehl the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Brye Diehl kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. After 21 played minutes, Kiras Krusaders's Norm Shortus shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Browne Houldsworth came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Kiras Krusaders reached it. In the 25th minute Carlisle Allcock shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Browne Houldsworth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Carlisle Allcock had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Browne Houldsworth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paco Duncan in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 36th minute, Brye Diehl got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 38th play minute Kris Nolan came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Peter Trezise. 1-0. Peter Trezise took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Craig Clack, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Craig Clack to make the kick off. Peter Trezise showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Craig Clack in the 54th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Craig Clack managed to get in a good position for a shot. Queenscliff's supporters rose to their feet, but Craig Clack was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Peter Trezise breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Peter Trezise made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kris Nolan in the 64th minute of play. When Edmundson Sibbold fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kiras Krusaders's protests and gave Edmundson Sibbold a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Queenscliff's Craig Clack got a free kick in the 74th minute. Browne Houldsworth didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 77th minute, which inside left pole to 1-2. In the 79th minute, Carlisle Allcock got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 81 minutes, Earnest Byrnes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kiras Krusaders's supporters crossed their fingers, but Earnest Byrnes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kris Nolan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Peter Trezise tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Craig Clack succeeded in the game's 88th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-2. In the 92nd match minute, Queenscliff was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lauder Lonergan to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Kiras Krusaders's Norm Shortus tried to score from far away in the 93rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Browne Houldsworth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlisle Allcock in the 95th minute of the match. Craig Clack recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
