After a rather tough play, Grandchester FC's Irwin Gronow got a free kick in the 3rd minute. After 5 played minutes Bacchus Marsh FC got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Willis. A collision led to Grandchester FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Irwin Gronow hit a great ball. In the 10th play minute Berke Sugden came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Rod Walkington. 1-0. In the 13th minute Randolph Magnay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dino Zoff saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 15 minutes Grandchester FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Crawford Cowdell who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Bacchus Marsh FC's Crawford Cowdell to fire away a dangerous shot which Dino Zoff despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Bacchus Marsh FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Bradley Goodbun 20 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. A collision led to Bacchus Marsh FC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Pearce Belford hit a great ball. A hard shot 24 in the game by Berke Sugden from a close distance when the talented Rod Walkington managed to make a qualified save. Bacchus Marsh FC's players were relieved. 26 minutes into the match, Bacchus Marsh FC's goalkeeper Rod Walkington had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Berke Sugden. In the 29th minute Bradley Goodbun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rod Walkington saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ren Nolan charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ren Nolan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 30 played minutes Bacchus Marsh FC got a freekick which was hit by Ren Nolan. 34 minutes into the game, Randolph Magnay cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Dino Zoff was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 36 minutes, Pearce Belford mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bacchus Marsh FC and the Grandchester FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 36 played minutes Bacchus Marsh FC got a freekick which was hit by Pearce Belford. 40 minutes into the game, Berke Sugden recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rod Walkington. Berke Sugden showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

In the 53rd minute, Benard Newham hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bradley Goodbun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rod Walkington having to interfere. Rod Walkington showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bradley Goodbun in the 70th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Berke Sugden in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rod Walkington saved Bacchus Marsh FC from getting behind. After 77 minutes, Berke Sugden made it 4-1 with a short kick to the right side. Bacchus Marsh FC's Rod Walkington tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Bacchus Marsh FC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Pearce Belford hit a great ball. Berke Sugden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rod Walkington having to interfere. When Grandchester FC's Berke Sugden in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bacchus Marsh FC's goalie prevented a goal.
