In the 6thth minute of the game Berke Sugden who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Queenscliff's Browne Houldsworth was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Berke Sugden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Browne Houldsworth didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bradley Goodbun went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Bradley Goodbun scored 0-2 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Browne Houldsworth, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Grandchester FC's goalkeeper Dino Zoff, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Browne Houldsworth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Berke Sugden, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Dino Zoff made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Craig Clack in the 22nd minute of play. Kris Nolan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Grandchester FC's Dino Zoff played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Craig Clack in the 30th minute of play. Laurence Diehl kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bradley Goodbun in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Browne Houldsworth saved Queenscliff from getting behind. Kris Nolan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dino Zoff having to interfere. Dino Zoff was a little too slow when Craig Clack got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 48th minute. The score was now 1-2. After the first half Grandchester FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Craig Clack to make the kick off. After 54 minutes, Craig Clack made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Grandchester FC's Dino Zoff tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Browne Houldsworth made an important save on a dangerous shot by Berke Sugden in the 59th minute. Browne Houldsworth was a little too slow when Berke Sugden got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 60th minute. The score was now 2-3. Brye Diehl kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Berke Sugden could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Browne Houldsworth made a huge save. The supporters of Grandchester FC booed when Queenscliff was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cullen Kanack didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 80 minutes, Brye Diehl mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Queenscliff and the Grandchester FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 80th match minute, Queenscliff was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brye Diehl to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 85 minutes, Berke Sugden managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grandchester FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Berke Sugden was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Berke Sugden who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 87thth minute tested the skills of Browne Houldsworth when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Bradley Goodbun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Queenscliff fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Grandchester FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
