Spectators: 8007 (Terracing: 6007, Seating: 1841, VIP seats: 159) After a rather tough play, Rubiton F.C's Biggs Pegrum got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Brett Venzs short, quick shot in the 9thth minute got Browne Houldsworth to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Brett Venz in the 13thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Browne Houldsworth, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Rubiton F.C's Brett Venz got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kris Nolan charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kris Nolan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 19th match minute, Queenscliff was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kris Nolan to maneuver through the defense. 21 minutes into the game, Cullen Kanack was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Queenscliff's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rubiton F.C the free kick. After a rather tough play, Queenscliff's Cullen Kanack got a free kick in the 21st minute. Craig Clack sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Queenscliff's Browne Houldsworth got control of the ball when Brett Venz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Queenscliff's Browne Houldsworth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aden Mcinnes in the 31st minute of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 35 minutes into the game, when Duffield Withy put in a rough tackle. In the 36th minute, Duffield Withy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Andrews Raison blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Browne Houldsworth having to make a save. In the last second Browne Houldsworth throw himself and got hold of the ball when Brett Venz in the 39thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. After 41 minutes, Brett Venz made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Queenscliff's Browne Houldsworth tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Brett Venzs short, quick shot in the 44thth minute got Browne Houldsworth to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Brett Venz to make the kick off. In the 55thth minute of the game Brett Venz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Queenscliff's Browne Houldsworth was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Brett Venz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Browne Houldsworth was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. When the match clock showed 69 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Brett Venz sped through Queenscliff's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Browne Houldsworth. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Brett Venz in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Browne Houldsworth saved Queenscliff from getting behind. Brett Venz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Browne Houldsworth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Brett Venz, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 83 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Browne Houldsworth was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Browne Houldsworth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brett Venz in the 87th minute of the match. If Brett Venz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st match minute, Queenscliff was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cullen Kanack to maneuver through the defense. When Jacob Roach came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Rubiton F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jacob Roach couldn't finish the play. After having played for 97 minutes, Kris Nolan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Queenscliff's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kris Nolan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rubiton F.C's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
