Spectators: 7989 (Terracing: 5993, Seating: 1837, VIP seats: 159) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Clark Blestowe made the kick off which started today's match. After having played for 4 minutes, Ellis Bonham managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Edgecombe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ellis Bonham was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rusty Mcjenkins recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 13 minutes into the match, Edgecombe's goalkeeper Marcus Keam had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jarvis Goodwin. If Jarvis Goodwin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jarvis Goodwin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcus Keam read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. In the 40th minute, Jarvis Goodwin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arnie Alcock didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ellis Bonham went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Arnie Alcock came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Edgecombe's Ellis Bonham. But to his dismay, Ellis Bonham quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. 59 minutes into the match, Edgecombe's goal looked a bit too open when Jarvis Goodwin came free, but Marcus Keam reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Albert Blattman charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Albert Blattman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Albert Blattman kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Marcus Keam showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jarvis Goodwin in the 61st minute of the match. A collision led to Edgecombe getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Bob Watts hit a great ball. 71 minutes had been played when some careless play by Edgecombe's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Corey Starling was slow to take the kick. During this time Perilya's players had a chance to rest. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Bud Mealmaker advanced and headed the ball into goal, 2-2 in the 72nd minute. After 75 minutes of play, Perilya's Jarvis Goodwin made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcus Keam was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rusty Mcjenkins in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arnie Alcock saved Perilya from getting behind. Rusty Mcjenkins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Arnie Alcock tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Perilya's Arnie Alcock proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Perilya from getting a goal against them. Perilya's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
